Not a bird! Not a plane! It’s just the newest addition to the NYC skyline. According to the naked eye, and Streetscaper and Tectonic photos, the soon-to-be 1,428-foot tower at 111 West 57th St. in Midtown is getting its facade. Bronze and terracotta colors now cover the exterior of the skyscraper. This face lift is happening as new floors are being added to the tower weekly.
Developers of the project, JDS Development and Property Markets Group, revealed the 91-story tower will include 60 residences. In fact, some buyers are already signing on the dotted line, according to reports by The Real Deal. This news effectively quiets concerns about possible foreclosure on the proper in recent months.
The property, valued at a projected $1.45 billion at capacity, is expected to be completed by 2018.
