Los Angeles-based Turner Impact Capital has filed applications for a three-story, 50,001-square-foot charter school at 625 Bolton Avenue, located in the Clason Point section of the East Bronx. The new school will be called the Grand Concourse Academy Charter School.
The new building will feature a gymnasium, auditorium, offices, and classrooms on the ground floor, followed by additional classrooms and offices across the second and third floors, The Real Deal reported. A nurse’s office and library will also be on the second floor. The school will include a 14-car parking lot.
Brooklyn-based Lubrano Ciavarra Architects is the architect of record. The 45,905-square-foot site is currently vacant. A segment of Bolton Avenue must first be built to access the school.
