New renderings have been released as sales officially launch at the 16-story, 123-unit residential project under development at 505 West 43rd Street, located in the southern end of Hell’s Kitchen. The latest building permits indicate the two-building development, dubbed Charlie West, will encompass 179,543 square feet and rise 153 feet to the rooftop.
The residential units will spread across both buildings from the ground through 16th floors, with the top two floors hosting expansive duplex apartments. The units will be condominiums, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, and should average 1,234 square feet apiece.
Elad Group and Mi&Co are the developers. ODA New York is the design architect and architect of record, while Escobar Design by lemay is responsible for the interiors. Construction is reportedly complete on a platform that spans over existing Amtrak tracks under the site, Curbed NY reported. Completion of the building is expected in 2018.
