Rockefeller Group has acquired, for $57 million, the 228-acre vacant property at 171 River Road, located in Middlesex County’s Piscataway township, in New Jersey. The developer plans to build a 2.4-million-square-foot industrial distribution and light manufacturing complex, called Lincoln Industrial Park. The plans have already been approved through the previous property owners.
Rockefeller will begin construction on two buildings by the end of the summer, Real Estate Weekly reported. The entire complex will eventually feature low-rise buildings ranging from 250,000 to 700,000 square feet. New roads, infrastructure, and landscaping are included in the plans.
Langan Engineering and Environmental Services designed the master plan. The site was previously a brownfield site, although it has since been fully remediated.
