Cottonwood Management has filed applications for a 40-story, 27-unit mixed-use tower at 316 Fifth Avenue, located on the corner of West 32nd Street in Midtown South. The tower would encompass 85,531 square feet and rise 539 feet to its rooftop.
Twenty-seven luxury condominium residences would spread across the eighth through 36th floors, each of which should average 1,942 square feet apiece. There appears to be two penthouses planned, one located on the 34th and 35th floors and a second across the 36th and 37th floors. There would also be 6,805 square feet of retail space across the cellar, ground and second levels.
Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates is the architect of record. The 4,938-square-foot site is currently occupied by five- and six-story commercial buildings, which the developer acquired for $19.3 million last year. Demolition permits have not been filed at this time.
