The nonprofit Volunteers of America-Greater New York have filed applications for a 14-story, 122-unit affordable residential building at 112 East Clarke Place, located in the Mount Eden section of the South Bronx. The project would encompass 91,502 square feet.
All of the residential units will be designated as affordable and rent exclusively to seniors, The Real Deal reported. The apartments will spread across the second through 14th floors and should average 558 square feet apiece.
Magnusson Architecture and Planning is the architect of record.Volunteers of America acquired the 9,577-square-foot site, which is currently vacant, for $3 million earlier this year.
