A new condominium development in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood is getting closer to completion. Work at 591 Third Avenue, dubbed the Lindley, recently topped out and facade installation is already well underway. The building’s design was revealed by YIMBY in November 2016.
Located at the east side of the avenue between East 38th Street and East 39th Street, the Lindley stretches 20 stories to 239 feet. It will contain 74 units, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, starting in the $900,000s. With a total 71,696 square feet of residential space, units would average over 968 square feet each.
Amenities will include concierge service available 24 hours a day, a residents’ lounge, a fitness center, a resident superintendent, bike storage, and private storage, plus a roof garden with a grilling and dining area.
There will also be 4,231 square feet of retail space spread between the cellar and first floor.
The building is a less than 10 minute walk from Grand Central Terminal, with access to the 4, 5, 6 and 7 trains, the Times Square shuttle, and Metro-North Railroad. It is also just over 10 minutes from the East 34th Street stop on NYC Ferry, the citywide ferry service formerly known as the East River Ferry. Ferry service to Astoria is due this August.
Sales, which are being handled by the Marketing Directors, are expected to begin this year. Occupancy is expected in 2018.
