A schematic diagram of the 18-story, 31-unit mixed-use building under development at 250 West 81st Street, a.k.a. 2255 Broadway, located on the Upper West Side, has been posted on-site. Photos posted to the YIMBY Forums also reveal excavation work is now underway at the site, which was once occupied by a three-story commercial building. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 123,493 square feet and rise 246 feet to its pinnacle.
There will be 11,467 square feet of retail space across the ground, second and cellar levels, followed by 31 residential units throughout the third through 18th floors. The apartments, which will be condominiums, should average 2,698 square feet apiece.
