Construction has structurally topped out on the 69-story, 116-unit luxury residential tower under development at 220 Central Park South, located between Broadway and Seventh Avenue in Midtown. Progress on the 953-foot-tall tower can be seen thanks to photos posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate the structure encompasses 624,655 square feet.

The condominiums at 220 Central Park South will be some of the city’s finest residential real estate. The apartments should average 4,069 square feet apiece.

Not many details have been revealed about the units, although the offering plan reveals that the tower features multiple penthouses. One would measure 9,817 square feet, another 8,978 square feet, and a third would be a 23,000-square-foot quadplex, all of which have been valued over $100 million each, per The Real Deal.

Besides the tower portion, there is also a 17-story villa component that’s situated immediately on Central Park South. It will house 10 out of the project’s 116 total residential units. Residences in the villa start at $30 million.

Vornado Realty Trust is the developer and Robert A.M. Stern Architects is the design architect. SLCE Architects is the executive architect and The Office of Thierry W Despont is responsible for the interior designs. Completion is expected in 2018.
