Construction has recently topped out on the 54-story, 790-unit residential tower under development at 43-22 Queens Street, located in the Court Square/Queens Plaza section of Long Island City. The 598-foot-tall tower is a redevelopment of the former six-story Eagle Electric Manufacturing building, with the original structure serving as the project’s base. The latest building permits indicate the entire building measures 712,747 square feet.
The residential units, rentals, will spread across the second through 54th floors and should average 763 square feet apiece. Residential amenities will be on the cellar through fourth floors, and the seventh floor will have an outdoor terrace.
Rockrose Development is the developer and SLCE Architects is serving as both the design and executive architect. Completion is expected by the end of the year.
