Maspeth-based Fazio Construction has filed applications for a six-story, 25-unit mixed-use building at 26-19 Second Street, located in western Astoria. The plans, which are not associated with Durst Organization’s Halletts Point mega-project, come on the heels of the announcement that the full, seven-building build-out of Halletts Point is moving forward.
The project will measure 22,748 square feet and rise 54 feet to its rooftop. There will be a 1,183-square-foot community facility on the ground floor, followed by 25 residential units on the floors above. The units should average 816 square feet apiece. Anthony DiProperzio’s Long Island-based firm is the architect of record. The 9,344-square-foot lot is vacant.
