Majora Carter Group and Slayton Ventures are partnering to redevelop the dilapidated, 4,500-square-foot former railway station at 910 Hunts Point Avenue, located in the South Bronx’s Hunts Point section. The structure will be converted into commercial space, likely to be occupied by a restaurant, the Wall Street Journal reported. The building will receive a new façade and roof, while the interior spaces will get renovations. Raft Architects is designing the conversion. Construction is expected to begin this summer, followed by completion in the fall. The developers have already acquired a permanent easement for the property from Amtrak.
