A yet-to-be-named developer has acquired, for $12 million, the development site at 814-826 Bedford Avenue, a.k.a. 484 Park Avenue, in northwestern Bedford-Stuyvesant. The new property owner plans to develop a mixed-use building with a synagogue at street level and either apartments or a hotel on the floors above, Real Estate Weekly reported.
Plans were filed with the Department of Buildings in early 2016 for a five-story building that would have included a synagogue and a 52-key hotel, although those plans were never approved. Parkview Management and Karl Fisher Architect were behind those plans. The 12,725-square-foot site is occupied by a single-story commercial building. Demolition permits were filed last year.
