The New York City Housing Authority has selected Fetner Properties to develop a 47-story, 330-unit mixed-use building on the grounds of the Homes Towers public housing complex at 1780 York Avenue, located in Upper East Side’s Yorkville section. Holmes Towers consists of two 25-story residential buildings with a total of 540 apartments. The newest tower will rise between the two existing ones, The Real Deal reported.
The new tower will measure 350,000 square feet and will include 18,000 square feet of community space. Half of the apartments, or 165 units, will be designated as affordable and permanently rent at below-market rates, while the other half will rent at market rates.
