This actually just south of Silver Towers, so technically is on former Mercedes lot, instead of proposed once supertall “100 floors”, right? So, now 500 ft, since affordable project at best like up to 46 floors, same as Victory Tower on Tenth, I don’t think it’s more floors, since this is Manhattan, not Brooklyn or LIC. Building looks skinny on side too.

“Nearly 500 ft” is what just above 492 ft skyscraper standard or below? Rendering show wide roof or bulkhed, wider than residential portion of this high rise, guess at least 40 floors above the wider podium for community space, gym, garage, etc. Probably 5-6 stories in podium, again my guess.

  3. Jack says:

Wrong, looks like taller podium, 8 or 9 floors, means what, offices, like a Tower in Eight Ave and west 56 street, just across Hearst Tower, where 36 residential portion sit over 8 story office podium. This look the same idea, like tall mixed use podium of 8-9 floors, then like 30 something floors plus near rooftop another division for 2 or 3 floors, like community space and gym on the sky.

Made wrong comment about this, article said 200k sq ft offices, 12k sg ft supermarket, police dept parking facilities and student dormitories, so it’s like 9-10 floors of podium following 30 plus floors of residential and skyportion of several floors for gym or something else. ALL IN 500FT TOWER.

I don’t want to intervene the above with many opinions on one-two-three-four explanations, I will lie in ambush my small space about mixed-use tower.
