Last week, developer LeFrak received approval from the Jersey City Planning Board to build a 338-unit mixed-use development at 700 Washington Boulevard, located in the Newport section of downtown Jersey City. The complex will include connected 24- and 12-story buildings, Jersey Digs reported.
There would be 16,490 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 338 residential units on the floors above. The apartments, all of them market-rate, would range from studios to four-bedrooms. HLW International is responsible for the architecture. The site is vacant, although a construction timeline has not been revealed.
