A Queens-based property owner has filed applications for a four-story, nine-unit mixed-use building at 25-56 97th Street, located near the corner of Astoria Boulevard in East Elmhurst. The project would measure 11,870 square feet and include 1,283 square feet of retail space across the ground and cellar levels. Nine residential units would take up the remainder of the building. The apartments should average 839 square feet apiece. Flushing-based A&T Engineering is the architect of record. The 4,444-square-foot site is occupied by a two-story townhouse. Demolition permits have not been filed.
