Construction is now complete on the eight-story, 120-unit mixed-use building at 1040 Dean Street, located on the corner of Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights. Photos of the project can be seen in a Curbed NY report. The latest building permits indicate the structure encompasses 133,582 square feet and rises 80 feet to its rooftop.
There will be 19,034 square feet of ground-floor retail space, followed by residential units across floors two through eight. The apartments, rentals ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, should average 680 square feet apiece. Twenty percent of them, or 24 units, will rent at below-market rates through the housing lottery. All Year Management is the developer and ODA New York is responsible for the architecture. Occupancy is expected later this year.
