The New York City Housing Authority has filed applications for a 17-story, 146-unit affordable residential building at 112 St. Edwards Street, located on the corner of Myrtle Avenue within the Ingersoll Houses public housing development, in Fort Greene. The new building, dubbed Ingersoll Senior, will encompass 128,790 square feet and rise 195 feet to its rooftop, Real Estate Weekly reported.
All of the project’s 146 residential units will rent at below-market rates to people aged 62 and older. There will be outdoor terraces on the second, seventh, and 14th floors. BFC Partners has partnered with NYCHA to develop the building and Marvel Architects is responsible for the design. The 11,500-square-foot site is vacant.
