Construction is three stories above street level on the 11-story, 28-unit residential building under development at 287 East Houston Street, on the Lower East Side. Progress on the structure can be seen thanks to an update by Bowery Boogie. The latest building permits indicate the project will measure 32,771 square feet and rise 120 feet to its roof, not including bulkhead elements, which stand taller.
The project will feature 28 condominiums ranging from one- to three-bedrooms, plus a duplex penthouse. The apartments should average 1,038 square feet apiece. Hogg Holdings and the U.S. arm of Brazil-based Vinci Partners are the developers. AA Studio is the design architect and Jeffrey Cole Architects is the executive architect. A completion date is unknown, but occupancy in early 2018 would seem reasonable.
