JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Silverback Development are planning to renovate the eight-story, 45,000-square-foot office building at 525 Broadway, located on the corner of Spring Street in SoHo. The property will be repositioned to accommodate a single tenant, The Real Deal reported, although the 5,000-square-foot Chase Bank will remain on the ground floor.
The façade will also receive repairs. Kutnicki Bernstein Architects is the architect of record. Since the building is located in the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District, the Landmarks Preservation Commission would have to approved exterior design changes.
