Brooklyn-based property owner Haim Nortman has filed applications for a 12-story, 71-unit mixed-use building at 362 West 125th Street, located between Morningside and St. Nicholas avenues in Harlem. The project will encompass 128,351 square feet and rise 124 feet in height.
There will be 21,517 square feet of retail space across the ground, second and cellar floors, followed by 71 residential units located on the third through 12th floors. The apartments should average 1,028 square feet apiece, which means either rentals or condominiums could be in the works.
Issac & Stern Architects is the architect of record. The 12,475-square-foot site is occupied by the three-story LaGree Baptist Church. Demolition permits were filed in November. The Real Deal first reported on the filings.
