Doesn’t this building require FAA clearance because it’s over 899 feet high and right under the LGA approach pattern over Brooklyn?

    For example – http://newyorkyimby.com/2016/01/jersey-citys-towering-99-hudson-street-gets-faa-clearance.html

Hi! That’s a good question. I don’t know. The FAA rules are quite confusing in New York City, and the height caps vary depending on where you are in the flight path. And if this map is accurate, it might be just outside the direct path http://gothamist.com/2014/09/24/plane_noise_data.php.

This is just what downtown Brooklyn needs!

This looks like it might be hexagonal. Is that right? Neat-o!

Any idea what materials will be used for the facade? I daydream that this will use CorTen steel with laser-cut gothic details. That would be so dang sexy.

    6 apartments per floor… 6!!! Ridiculous

Reminds of the building in The Towering Inferno, which I liked. (Not the inferno part).
