Renderings have been revealed of the seven-story, 25-unit residential building planned at 400 Newark Avenue, located between Sixth and Seventh streets in The Village section of downtown Jersey City. The project will rise nearly 80 feet above street level.
The apartments, market-rate rentals, will range from one- to two-bedrooms, Jersey Digs reported. The ground-floor will contain a 12-car parking garage. Weingarten Group is the developer and Inglese Architecture + Engineering is responsible for the architecture.
The plans, which require five variances, have not been submitted to the city’s Zoning Board at this time. The development site is vacant.
