A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last week for the opening of the New York Stem Cell Foundation’s 40,000-square-foot Research Institute in a nine-story, 330,000-square-foot commercial building at 619 West 54th Street, in Hell’s Kitchen.
The facility is one of the world’s largest laboratories for stem cell research. It is equipped with stem cell manufacturing capabilities, cell sorting labs, lecture and event halls, and executive offices. It will also serve as the non-profit’s headquarters.
The building, owned by a partnership that includes Taconic Investment Partners, contains 33,000-square-foot floor plates geared towards life science and medical tenants. Roughly 90,000 square feet is currently vacant and available for lease.
