New renderings have been revealed of the condominium portion of a planned multi-building residential development, called Seaside Landing, located between Beach 115th and 117th streets in Rockaway Park, Queens. The 90-unit condominium portion is dubbed One Sixteen and will be located in a nine-story mixed-use building at 147 Beach 116th Street, a.k.a. 1-37 Beach 116th Street.
The apartments at One Sixteen will range from one- to three-bedrooms. There will also be 17,652 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Fischer + Makooi Architects is the design and executive architect and Jalbert Architects is responsible for the interiors. Construction is underway, according to Curbed NY. The site’s single-story predecessor was demolished last December.
Three more buildings, with an additional 217 residential units, will eventually be built. Some of the units will be designated as affordable and/or senior housing. The Marcal Group is the developer behind Seaside Landing.
