An anonymous Long Island-based LLC has filed applications for an eight-story, 70-unit mixed-use building at 65-18 Austin Street, located in the heart of Rego Park. The project will measure 79,392 square feet and rise 75 feet to its rooftop. There will be 9,998 square feet of community facility space on the ground floor, which will be occupied by medical offices and a children’s daycare educational center. The second through eighth floors will host 70 residential units, each of which should average a rental-sized 714 square feet apiece. A 35-car parking garage will be located in the cellar.
Maspeth-based Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio is the architect of record. The 14,608-square-foot assemblage consists of three two-story houses, although demolition permits have not been filed at this time to raze them.
