The Rockefeller Group is in contract to acquire the three five- to six-story mixed-use buildings spanning 30-36 East 29th Street, located in NoMad, to make way for a 170,000-square-foot residential tower, Crain’s reported last week. The project would feature condominiums and contain roughly 100 apartments. The developer is also acquiring air rights from adjacent properties on the block, in addition to the property acquisitions.
Each of the three buildings are currently owned by separate entities. It’s not known at this time how much Rockefeller is paying for the assemblage. Neither new building applications nor demolition permits have been filed.
