New Jersey-based Matrix Development Group is moving forward with the development of Matrix Global Logistics Park, a 3.5-million-square-foot, 200-acre commercial project planned in Bloomfield, located on Staten Island’s West Shore, just south of the Goethals Bridge.
Construction on the first first of four buildings — a 975,000-square-foot, 40-foot-tall industrial warehouse at 586 Gulf Avenue — is now wrapping up, Crain’s reported. Move-ins are planned for this summer.
Construction is expected to begin soon on a 450,000-square-foot warehouse at 566 Gulf Avenue. Two more commercial-warehouses, each roughly one million square feet, are also in the pipeline. Marguelies Hoelzli Architecture is the architect of record.
