Construction is now three stories above street level on the 10-story, 31-unit mixed-use building under development at 24 Second Avenue, located on the corner of East 1st Street in the East Village. Photos of the progress can be seen thanks to a Bowery Boogie update. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 70,748 square feet and rise 120 feet to its rooftop.
There will be 5,781 square feet of retail space across the ground and cellar levels, followed by 30 residential units across the second through 10th floors. The apartments, condominiums, should average 1,448 square feet apiece. AORE Holdings is the developer and RSVP Architecture Studio is responsible for the architecture. Completion is likely in 2018.
