A Brooklyn-based property owner has filed applications for two five-story, eight-unit residential buildings at 1509 New York Avenue, located on the southern end of East Flatbush. The buildings will measure 6,500 and 7,505 square feet, respectively. Across both, the apartments should average 750 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. Six of the units will be duplexes, per the Schedule A. Asher Hershkowitz’s Brooklyn-based firm is the architect of record. The 4,000-square-foot site is occupied by a two-story house. Demolition permits have not been filed.
