The nonprofit Turken Foundation has filed applications for a 21-story, 82-unit mixed-use building at 300 East 41st Street, located on the corner of Second Avenue in Murray Hill. The project will likely be geared towards Turkish students, DNAinfo reported, with each residential floor containing a study room.
The project will encompass 79,319 square feet and rise 208 feet to its roof. The apartments will be located across the fourth through 21st floors and should average 695 square feet apiece. There will also be 3,482 square feet of retail space in the basement.
International design firm Perkins+Will is the architect of record. The 2,940-square-foot plot is occupied by a single-story commercial building. Demolition permits were filed last September.
