Construction has topped out and façade installation is in the final stages at the two-building, seven-story mixed-use project under development at 500 East 14th Street and 524 East 14th Street, located on Avenue A in the East Village. Progress on the new buildings can be seen in an update by EV Grieve.
The latest building permits indicate the two structures will measure 181,713 square feet and 71,719 square feet, respectively. Across both, there will be 45,407 square feet of retail space across the ground and cellar levels. The larger one will contain 106 residential units and the smaller one 56 units. The apartments, condominiums, should average 1,215 square feet apiece.
