Burlington County, N.J.-based Michaels Development Company is planning a four-story, 89-unit mixed-use project at 150 Muhammad Ali Avenue, located on the corner of Irvine Turner Boulevard in Newark’s Springfield/Belmont section. A rendering has been revealed by Jersey Digs. The project is expected to have 89 affordable residential units and roughly 5,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The Newark Housing Authority is overseeing the project and Netta Architects is behind the design. The site is currently vacant, although a construction timeline has not been revealed.
