Foundation work is underway on the eight-story, 500,000-square-foot mixed-use commercial project under development at 25 Kent Avenue, located between North 12th and 13th streets in Williamsburg. YIMBY can share exclusive photos of the first concrete pour, which was conducted last week. The latest building permits indicate the new building will rise 135 feet to its main roof.
The building will contain retail space on the ground floor, followed by mix of light manufacturing and Class A office spaces on the seven floors above. Amenities will include a 275-car underground parking garage, 14,400 square feet of public open space in the form of courtyards and a thoroughfare, and an elaborate rooftop terrace, among other features.
Rubenstein Partners and Heritage Equity Partners are the developers. Gensler is the design and executive architect, although Hollwich Kushner Architecture is behind the concept design. Completion is expected in mid-2018.
