Construction work has been green-lighted for the five-story, 46-unit mixed-use project, dubbed The Vestry, planned at 147 Bloomfield Avenue, located in downtown Monclair, N.J. The project, which was approved by the township’s Planning Board in December, will feature 46 rental apartments ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. Seventeen percent, or eight units, will be designated as affordable. There will also be 1,600 square feet of retail space, Jersey Digs reported.
Sterling Properties and Greenwood Development are the developers. Sionas Architecture is the responsible for the design. Construction is expected to begin this summer, although Mount Carmel Holy Church’s old facility must first be demolished.
