Construction is now underway on the second floor of the 25-story, 115-unit mixed-use tower under development at 565 Broome Street, located on the corner of Varick Street in Hudson Square. Progress on the structure can be seen thanks to photos posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 322,154 square feet and rise 290 feet to its roof, not including bulkhead elements.
There will be 115 condominium units, including studio to four-bedroom layouts, duplexes, full-floor apartments and penthouses. The average apartment should measure 2,109 square feet. There will also be 16,867 square feet of retail space on the ground and second floors.
Bizzi & Partners Development, Aronov Development, and Halperb Real Estate Ventures are the developers. Renzo Piano Building Workshop is the design architect and SLCE Architects is the executive architect. Completion is expected next year.
