Construction is now rising above street level and ongoing on the ground floor on the 23-story, 31-unit mixed-use building under development at 1 Beekman Street, located on the corner of Park Row in the Financial District.
The construction progress can be seen thanks to a photo posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate the structure will encompass 95,285 square feet and rise 299 feet to its roof, or 335 feet to the top of its bulkhead.
There will be 14,583 square feet of commercial space, broken down into retail on the ground floor and offices on the second through fourth floors. Thirty-one residential units will be located across the sixth through 21st floors. The apartments will be condominiums and should average 1,882 square feet apiece.
